In His Image

In His image, God made man.
He built him according to His master plan.
All was perfect, Oh so good.
Until along came Satan,
In the tree he stood.

Waiting for a chance to do an evil deed,
In Eve's mind he planted an evil seed.
You can be like God, know evil and good.
Just take a bite of this delicious food.

Disobedience then took place.
It was passed down to all human race.
God was angered and pronounced a curse.
How could anything get much worse?

Now man was separated from God's great love.
Lost his chance to be with the Heavenly dove.
God had mercy in His heart.
He really loved His creation from the start.

So He came up with a plan of escape.
But He needed a sacrifice before it was too late.
He sent down His only son,
Because only He could get the job done.

He became the supreme sacrifice.
For you and I,
He would give His life.

Now for the best part of this story of old.
We can go to Jesus and be very bold.
We're not separated from Him anymore.
And with the Devil, He will settle the score.

Today in His image ,we can be made.
When we serve Jesus, in Him we stay.
So now you must make your choice.
Please don't listen to Satan's voice.

Remember he's the one who ruined God's plan.
And caused the downfall of every man.
