The Promise

The promise of the Savior,
Was told through out the land.
He was coming soon,
To deliver man.

Soon they began to murmur,
Wondering when it would be.
Where was this Savior that was promised?
Where is He?

The complaining is still going on,
In this world today.
We've heard this promise all these years.
He'll not show up today.

When you least expect it.
Could be any day.
Jesus will return,
To take the church away.

Don't be caught sleeping,
Complacent with this world.
Seek and you will find Him.
The trumpet will be heard.

So don't forget the Promise.
It soon will be fulfilled.
My Savior is returning.
The Promise is still real.
