My Dream

I had a dream one night
of kneeling down in prayer
And as I prayed my humble prayer
the Spirit of God was there

He said my child, you need to go
to a place, but please don't fear
For I go with you down this road
I will guide you there

So even though I did not want to go
I know I had to obey
so with a willing heart
to my Lord, I did say

Yes, Jesus, I will go
because you told me true
I know you'll walk with me
I'll have to lean on you.

As I went walking down the dark road
it seemed the sky was light
I turned and looked behind me
to see Someone so bright

It was my Jesus, arms outstretched
He said my child well done
my heart filled with joy
and I was glad this journey I had begun

As I arrived at the place
it was not very clear
as to why I had to come
what was I to do here?

Here I was at a graveyard
with tombstones standing white
I heard the cries for loved ones
tears, filled with sorrow and strife

I went inside as promised
and prayed another prayer
I felt I needed to tell someone
that Jesus really cared

I prayed and prayed and testified
but to whom I did not know
Then the day took upon
that early morning glow

To my surprise I did see
many faces near
I asked them if they would come to know
my precious Savior dear

They all started coming
they'd realized their emptiness inside
there was such joy and shouting
as they asked Jesus in their hearts to abide

As I awoke up from my dream
Joy was in MY heart
For I want to please my Savior
and I want to do my part.

This is a dream I really had...it made me realize that sometimes as we go through our lives, things may not make sense to us. But with Jesus guiding our lives, we can touch people more than we realize. God bless you all!!
