In The Darkness Before Dawn!

I lie quietly and still
As I feel a calm wash over me
I am not afraid
Knowing I am not alone
Something brushes my cheek
An Angel's wing perhaps
Something powerful
Something Sacred
I feel safe
In the corner I see it
A shimmer of light
Giving me hope
As it begins to fade
I know it is not really gone
Feelings of peace
My heart is sure
It was an Angel
In the darkness before dawn
I close my eyes
Praying my soul to keep
And then without pain
I drift off to sleep
