I speak to you softly, please hear my prayer
Why do so many things seem so unfair?
People are murdered and children abused
The love of a Mother often misused
Crime in the streets and hate in the heart
Can you tell me Jesus, why won't it stop
Something went wrong, I don't understand
Why a young boy dies before he's a man
Drive-by shootings and drugs in the home
To many homeless, so all alone
You walked through the lands
Spreading God's word
Speaking to all
Until all words were heard
You came as Our Savior
When Mary gave Birth
Your Father wanted peace
And harmony on Earth
Something has happened and is terribly wrong
People are dying with a War going on
I know we have hurt you
There's a tear in your eye
Why can't we remember why you chose to die....
