A Mother's Prayer

I lay my baby
down to sleep
and pray Dear Lord
their soul to keep

Send your Angel's
Lord I pray
protect my baby
from harms way

Dry their tears
if they should cry
let Angel's hum
a lullaby

Keep my baby
safe and warm
help them rest
the whole night long

Wrap my child with
all your love
send your blessings
from above

Keep a watchful eye
as they sleep
nights of magic
filled with peace

When they awake
as morning dawns
give them sunshine
all day long
